Wigan United have confirmed defender Horneys return to action on Sunday after missing the previous three games due to an injury.
Manager David Wagner confirmed the news on Twitter and confirmed the 22-year-old has recovered from a thigh problem which required surgery.
“Horney is fit and ready to play tomorrow.
The problem is he needs surgery but it will be good news,” he said.”
We are working hard with him and we will let you know the details later.”
I think that is the way we are going to handle this, because he is one of our best players.
He is a player who has been training with us since the start of the season, so he is a real asset.
“Hopefully the pain and discomfort will go away as the rest of the week progresses.
He has been out training with the medical staff and we’ll see how he feels when he is back out there.”
Horney made his first appearance for the Toffees last weekend as he took on the visiting Fulham FC at the DW Stadium.
He was brought off the bench and scored the only goal in a 1-0 win for the visitors.

I think this was the right decision to bring me back and I think the team is all excited to see what I can bring to the team.”
